Diversions
June 09, 2003
I haven't the time to finished yesterdays post on the Hadar Shavuot Retreat, but I briefly want to share these things that made me smile:
- Overheard on the crowded, rainy, Monday morning bus, in a cheery five year-old voice: "I'm so glad it's Friday."
- When a cookie dropped during snack in nursery school: "The Oreo fell. Now it's a Floor-eo."
- Two five year-olds discussing deserts: "Krispy Kreme is so much better. Dunkin Donuts is really only famous for their coffee."
And a slightly more mature (only slightly) post from chrisr:
26may2003: so i finished reading, last week, what we hope will be the final draft of candy's book about tantric sex. the content aside, i'm utterly impressed by the professional way she has approached this project, and the discipline demonstrated in bringing it this far. i have been asked to contribute a short summary/review/comment for the back sleeve, and have submitted the following: Five hours of sheer boredom, but a great ending. (Book wasn't bad either.)
