(It had left me in my younger years)

poems |November 21, 1990

It had left me in my younger years
The excitement,
The action--
But not long ago it cought me
entreaged me

The life styles
The action
The way they move
It all plays a part in everyones life
Their interactions,
Their greedy donations to the poor
Facinates me

As the night falls
The streets dim
And the people dissapear into dark allies
And now a new group come out
Of young, happy people
They are just a part of the cycle

They are the most exciting
They create the most wonder in my mind
For I am one of them
When not looking down

A cold breeze has occationaly stopped my fun
But the large goose-feather like snow flakes
Do cloud my veiw

Over night the snow had blanketed the ground
Encased cars in a white sheet so pure
Even though my wonder was stopped late last night
This mixture of water and cold
Had brought upon me youngsters and babysitters
For me to fawn over from up here

But
I always wonder how a can't think
this way when I'm not
Up in my window
